Kevin Woo is an American singer, actor, TV presenter, and influencer who promotes in both Japan and Korea. He was mostly known as a member of the South Korean group U-KISS. Since he announced his departure from the group, Kevin began shaping his solo career. Then, he participated in several activities such as the program ‘After School Club’ which he was the principal MC for around 4 years.
James Lee was a member of a rock band called Royal Pirates. However, due to health matters, he had to leave the band. When he recovered, James did not give up his career and debuted with his EP ‘The Light.’
Recently, Kevin Woo and James Lee decided to combine their abilities and produce a song together. Recently, the artists released the song ‘Falling,’ followed by the music v (click here to check it out).
I definitely recommend ‘Falling’ to all of you. In my opinion, the song’s instrumental makes it unique since it holds the listener’s attention from the beginning to the end. KPOP fans, do not expect anything ordinary because this song does not contain EDM beats or a cute vibe as we are familiar. Since I do not own a music degree, I cannot give you solid details about the song’s composition; however, it is noticeable their clear vocals, as well as the fantastic mix between the vocals and the melody. If the artists intended to bring something new, exciting, and enjoyable to the public, congratulations James and Kevin, you made it!
Their performance is impressive, both acting and stage’s attitude. It seems that the MV tells the story of a man who is giving a speech to the newlyweds at their wedding. However, this same man is in love with the bride who is marrying someone else. Consequently, the man ends up angry and literally destroys the wedding party. He destroys the gift table and drops the cake, but the groom quickly calls the security with the intuition to stop him. The lyrics match the context in which he says that he should have said things before and that he remembers the time they spent together. But do not fool yourselves! Although the scenario sounds sad, I feel that the MV is quite comical. As soon as the security arrives, the drummer appears while James and Kevin make fun moves that seem to bewitch the guards. Did someone say, drummer? In this MV we had some guests, such as the drummer Art Cruz, the director Brad Wong, and some YouTubers. Some guests are outraged, but Kevin and James continue to act angry as if they no longer care about society’s thoughts. This leaves us with a great message: Do what is best for you and what makes you happy, even if people judge you for it.
*In Brazil, the exams to enter the university started, so students are going through too much pressure. I hope that not only Brazilian students, but students from all over the world to reflect on the possible message of this MV and do not over stress.*
